Global Studies. Why?

Learning about LIU Global and the unique opportunity of studying abroad for four years that it provides initially sparked my interest in majoring in Global Studies. I’ve always felt that hands-on experiences are an extremely enriching way of learning. Before coming across LIU Global, I had yet to find any other college program as closely linked to real-world experiences.

The aspect of Global Studies that I have found most impactful is undoubtedly the field’s consideration of various perspectives. Global Studies often seek to hear and understand society’s most vulnerable groups. What I like most about Global Studies is its focus on considering the underlying complexities in every situation.

I don’t know exactly where I’ll end up upon graduating or what I’ll be doing, but I hope to relentlessly follow my inner curiosity about the world wherever it takes me.
